UNCLE MILTON INDUSTRIES COMBINES EDUCATION AND ADVENTURE WITH AN EXCITING LINE OF INDIANA JONES™ SCIENCE AND NATURE PRODUCTS!

Uncle Milton Industries, famous for the Original Ant Farm® and other innovative, award-winning science and nature-related products, is lifting the veil of secrecy on a new line of educational adventure products based on the immensely popular Indiana Jones movies.  The new products won’t be available until fall but this sneak peak reveals a product line that will allow kids to learn about science and nature in an exciting, fun-filled way.

Kids will learn about gears and levers with booby traps that will protect their rooms from siblings and even parents.  Intruders could unknowingly trigger a mounted relic, spilling spiders from above while dodging “darts” that shoot across their path. It’s elaborate action worthy of the great adventurer himself.

With the amount of danger Indiana Jones puts himself in he
probably has hefty insurance and medical bills. All those fights have to end in personal injuries.
A San Diego personal injury attorney could help him out if
and give him a few case evaluation for the latest broken jaw or ribs he encounters.

Relive one of the most action-packed scenes from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with the Uncle Milton Giant R/C Ant, complete with realistic jaw-chomping mandibles and a Crystal Skull remote control.  In addition, the new Uncle Milton line will also pass on the skills and teachings of Dr. Jones himself through an archeological dig simulation. The dig encourages kids to search for ancient mummies and other mysterious artifacts.  Charting their findings, progress is made until the ultimate prize is found - the Crystal Skull!  There’s even a life-like Crystal Skull projector that allows kids to visit real archeological sites, as well as famous movie locales as they are projected on walls through the skull’s glowing eye.

Product highlights from the Uncle Milton Indiana Jones line for 2008 include:

Indiana Jones Giant RC Ant from Uncle Milton

In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indy faces many dangers, not the least of which is a swarm of huge, deadly ants. Now you can control a giant ant complete with realistic jaw chomping mandibles!  Use the Crystal Skull remote to send your ant scurrying across the floor.  It’s ultra-creepy and sure to scare family and friends.

Indiana Jones Lost City Archeology Dig from Uncle Milton

Join Indiana Jones on an adventure as you dig, discover and document priceless artifacts and treasure.  As you unlock the mysteries of the Mayan themed dig site, an exciting secret will be revealed!

Indiana Jones Room Booby Trap from Uncle Milton

Defend your room against nosey friends and little brothers with an exciting, playful set of booby traps inspired by the Indiana Jones movie series!  Learn about the science of gears and levers!

Indiana Jones Crystal Skull Adventure Projector from Uncle Milton

Watch as the Crystal Skull projects amazing images from its glowing eye.  Professor Jones will be your tour guide as you visit exciting archeological discoveries of the world and famous scenes from the Indiana Jones movies.

New Hasbro Q&A Session!

Check out our next round of  questions below and if you have any burning Indy questions for the fine folks at Hasbro, be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us and let us know!

IJC: With the "death" of the Indiana Jones Line coming at the end of the year, are there things you wished you did differently (besides not  doing it at all maybe)? I know a lot of collectors who were on the fence with the line and had decided not to pursue it after hearing  rumors about it's impending demise over the summer.

Do you think if it was advertised more or if you planned a shorter  run and issued more key characters and vehicles up front it would have  lived on? I realize it was a movie year but maybe if there was less  emphasis on KOTCS and stores were not jammed with the same figures, there would have been better success?

H: We are *thrilled* to have been able to bring a very ambitious Indiana Jones line to reality after all these years. For many of us, the IJ series remains one of our favorite film franchises, up there with Star Wars, and it was our passion that was instrumental in bringing the franchise to Hasbro. IJ was labor of love for us, and the passion and commitment that we brought to the line are evidenced in the quality and depth of the line, not just the 3-3/4" line up but across the board targeting both kids and collectors.

As for the lineup we had to work with, the reason for doing the line in the first place was the new movie that brought a new excitement and potential audience to the IJ franchise, so that would always form the core of the line. We reacted as quickly as we could to the news of the movie, so getting out more figures from the original films was not the answer when we had all hands on deck trying to bring new movie figures to light as quickly as possible. In hindsight, we would not have done anything differently than we did.

Regarding the fans who "waited"...well, we can't really build lines around those who wait on the fence and if they weren't enjoying the offering after close to 30 3-3/4" figures, deluxe sets, and vehicles, we're not sure what could get them into the line. To repurpose a phrase from the upcoming election, people have to be "in" and voting, otherwise their votes aren't heard.

IJC: If there is another IJ movie, will you bring the line back in any capacity?

H:  Definitely. We plan to bring the line back if/when there is another IJ movie. All of the development work we have done on the line, but did not get a chance to ship or finish, will be brought back onto the front burner if we get word of another film in development.

IJC: Any chance of doing one last wave, based on collector voting at  various sites on the web and at Hasbro.com? It could include one of  each figure in a solid case and be sold directly at HasbroToyShop.com as a case only. That would give the collectors a chance to finish off  the figures that never made it.

H:  This will not be a possibility due to the large production volume requirements and the relatively smaller sell-through opportunity online vs brick and mortar retailers.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

IJC Review: Grail Knight (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Indiana Jones’ lot in life seems to be one of constant peril and adventure, and the relics he seeks are never ordinary—especially when dealing with Christian artifacts.  After barely escaping the destructive power of the Ark of the Covenant, Indy finds himself in search of a more benevolent relic—the Holy Grail.  As before, perilous tests await the adventuring archaeologist when the goal is in sight.  However, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade put an additional element into the mix by giving the Grail a human face.  The face was that of the Grail Knight, an immortal guardian charged with protecting the holy chalice over many hundreds of years.  A noble Knight of the First Crusade, the Grail Knight spent centuries hidden in the Temple of the Sun, waiting for the one who would challenge and replace him.

An important player in the climax of the movie, it is very appropriate that Hasbro included him in its initial Last Crusade assortment.  Upon seeing the packaged figure, collectors will undoubtedly be blown away by the immense amount of detail they see.  Look below the superficial, take the figure out of the packaging, and another, more dismal story unfolds however.

Lucas In 'Think Mode' On Another 'Indiana Jones' Film!

Posted at Latimes.com:

Indiana_jones Harrison Ford said Friday that momentum is building for a fifth movie in the "Indiana Jones"  franchise and that George Lucas is already cooking up a suitable plot for a heroic senior citizen with a penchant for whips and fedoras.

"It's crazy but great," the 66-year-old Ford said. "George is in think mode right now."

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" grossed $318 million in the U.S. alone and $770 million worldwide and is expected to be powerhouse seller on DVD and Blu-Ray when it arrives in stores Oct. 14. It was a film that many people in Hollywood assumed would never be made considering the difficulty in finding the right time and the right script to reunite Ford, Lucas and franchise director Steven Spielberg after the 1989 hit "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."

Now, though, the latest success and the fact that the franchise's old machinery was revived has Ford thinking a fifth movie is not only a viable idea, but an attractive one.

"It's automatic, really, we did well with the last one and with that having done well and been a positive experience, it's not surprising that some people want to do it again," Ford said.

I asked Ford who specifically is stirring up the idea of another revival, whether it was Lucas, Spielberg or the star himself? "Really, it comes from the ethos, from the ether. It's natural. It's a way of nature, of course, success breed opportunities ... also we don't stay as closely in contact as have in the last year, that's part of it."

New Hasbro Q&A Session!

Check out our next round of  questions below and if you have any burning Indy questions for the fine folks at Hasbro, be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us and let us know!

IJC: Is there any plan in the future for a deluxe 12" Indiana Jones with more accessories and better detail that's in the $50-$60 dollar range such as the 12" 100th Luke Skywalker from the Power of the Jedi line  or the 12" Anakin/Darth Vader from the Revenge of the Sith line or is that being held aside for Sideshow?

H: There are no plans for a higher-priced IJ figure from Hasbro. Unlike Star Wars, which is sublicensed through Hasbro, Sideshow does not sublicense IJ 12" figures from us and are free to pursue their own plans.

IJC: Recently images have appeared online for the Akator Playset that now features two additional bonus figures (Mutt and Spalko). Is this an exclusive or will it see a full release to all stores?

H:  It is a retailer exclusive at Sam's Club this Fall in the U.S.

IJC: Will we see a vehicle, deluxe set, or exclusive of Henry and Indiana Jones with the motorcycle and sidecar as in The Last Crusade?

H:  Unfortunately, while a motorcycle with sidecar was planned, it will not make it out.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

Check out our next round of  questions below and if you have any burning Indy questions for the fine folks at Hasbro, be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us and let us know!

IJC: The deluxe Indy figure that comes with the Ark is in desperate  need of the Staff of Ra. Will we be getting that accessory anytime soon?

H: Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to create a staff to go with that set.

IJC: Is there a change that Hasbro will produce 'Raiders of the lost Ark' play sets or battle packs for the 'Well of Souls', 'Map room' and the 'Golden Idol cave'

sequences?

H:  We don't have any playsets coming up. The only Battle Packs in the lineup right now are the exclusives that we showed at Comic Con, consisting of "existing" figures.

IJC: Some months ago Hasbro produced for the Star Wars line, a special edition series with the latest/updated small Star Wars figures on  vintage 'Star Wars' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' cards (exactly the  same from the 70's and the 80's cards) with photos of the particular  character on the card. Will Hasbro produce a special line for Indiana Jones with their latest 'Raiders of the lost Ark' figures on the Kenner cards that were made in 1982, with the large photo of the particular character on the card?

H:  He was planned to be in a later wave in 2009, not in the wave that was shown.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

New Hasbro Q&A Session!

Check out our next round of  questions below and if you have any burning Indy questions for the fine folks at Hasbro, be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us and let us know!

IndianaJonesCollectors: First a quick follow up to the one of our questions from last session  if we can. The question was asked about a Marcus Brody action figure.  The response was "It is unlikely we will do a Marcus Brody figure". Did you mean for next year or did you mean ever? And if so, is there  a "list" of the characters that won't be made?

Hasbro: We can't really say never, as we hope there will be another Indy film, and if it comes to pass there will almost certainly be a Marcus Brody figure.

IJC: Can we expect a 3.75" Belloq in white suit and Panama hat or a  3.75" Toht and German Mechanic in 2009?

H: We did show images of a couple of these figures at Comic Con, which are planned for early Spring 2009. This is depending on retail support for IJ continuing through Spring 2009, something that we will be evaluating with our retail partners in the coming months.

IJC: Weeks ago you confirmed you confirmed that an Ark Ghost was  coming in a deluxe set next year. Last Q&A session you changed your answer to no Ark Ghost was planned. Can you please clarify?

H:  We did have plans for an Ark ghost, but now it is no longer in the plans.

IJC: What is the status of the Dietrich figure that was confirmed  months ago in a Q&A? He was missing from the new Raiders wave announced at Comic Con.

H:  He was planned to be in a later wave in 2009, not in the wave that was shown.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

Indy Ultimate Adventure Wal-Mart Exclusive!

IJC reader Jeff reports in:

Just stopped in my local wal-mart and much to my surprise I found a big boxed Indiana Jones Playset. At first I thought it was the akator playset but upon further inspection it was a new playset called indy's ultimate adventure!!

It is sort of like the ol' mattel hotwheels crash em up race track set,it has a spiraling track with obstacles and snakes and comes with a race car with Indiana Jones logo on it's side and has an Indiana Jones figure that fits inside!

Now the car size is a hotwheels size so imagine that indy is the size of an action fleet figure from the star wars line! It's no 3 3/4'' playset but pretty cool.

At it's top is a crystal skull you push the top of it and it lights up and mouth moves and speaks! $34.99 and says wal-mart exclusive on the box!

Thanks Jeff! Sounds like a very cool set. If anyone out there has any pictures, be sure to send them in!

IndianaJonesCollectors: Recently a Indiana Jones "tank" with 3 figures appeared in the ToysRus computer, would this be the tank from the last crusade?

Hasbro: It is the Jungle Cutter with three existing figures - an exclusive for later in the Fall.

IJC: Marcus Brody is a pretty important character in the Indiana Jones lore, will we be seeing a 3.75 inch figure of him in 2009?

H: It's unlikely that we'll get to a Marcus Brody figure.

IJC: Will we be seeing an ARK Ghost in the 3.75" figure lineup?

H:  No plans for an Ark ghost in the lineup. It's a great idea for a future Deluxe-type item, but we have no plans for it right now.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

IJC Review:  Indiana Jones with the Ark of the Covenant (Raiders of the Lost Ark)

Since the re-introduction of the Star Wars 3.75 scale lines in the mid-1990s, Hasbro has produced two different types of basic action figures.  The first are the single carded releases, which are the bread and butter of their toy universe.  The other type is one that tends to go into hibernation every so often.  This is the “deluxe” figure line.  Essentially, these are sets that are either too large and/or too in-depth to exist at the single carded price.

The Hasbro Indiana Jones universe appears set to follow this stratification as well.  Set at an MSRP of $10, the first few waves of Indiana Jones deluxe figures appeared on shelves alongside the initial single-carded offerings.  Star Wars collectors already familiar with this segment of the Hasbro 3.75 scale universe will be in for a pleasant surprise at the diversity and quality of the Indiana Jones deluxe line.  While some are mere two-packs of figures, many others pair a figure with a small vehicle or mini-playset.  However, there is one set which pairs a figure with an all-important accessory deemed too large for the basic line.

That “all-important” accessory is a must-have for any Indy fan—the 3.75 scale version of the Ark of the Covenant.  Packaged along with the “Map Room” version of Indiana Jones, this set is one of the more popular deluxe releases in this initial salvo, and it doesn’t stay on store pegs for very long.  However, is it worth the price and popularity?  The answer is a resounding “Yes” for the most part.

IndianaJonesCollectors: With The Last Crusade hitting shelves now and the Temple of Doom wave  hitting in September, what else can we expect from the 3 3/4" Indiana Jones line in 2008? We've seen pictures of two new deluxe sets (Mutt  w/ Bike & Cairo Thugs) and the Akator Playset, anything else to look forward to in 2008?

Hasbro: We have indeed been front-loaded this year, as expected for a movie year. The next news for 3-3/4" will be in Spring 2009, and we should have pics to preview at Comic Con.

IJC: Do you have any plans to release Temple of Doom deluxe sets? I think  items such as the sacrifice cage or the mine car would go great with any collection!

H: We agree, and there is a good chance at least one of those items will make it out in 2009.

IJC: How soon do you plan on releasing the second wave of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull basic figures? Are any of the following characters on your radar: Mac, Oxley, Army disguised Russians or the Alien? I would think all would be logical choices!

H:  There will be a few more KOTCS figures later in 2009. A couple of your figures are in the works.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session! Also check out the message below from the Hasbro Star Wars Team:

We have created two files to help folks at home anticipate and plan for our big Star Wars 7/26 launch. These files will be available for download at starwars.hasbro.com next Wednesday 7/16.

They are: 1. The "Hasbro Clone Wars Handbook" details almost everything that will be available 7/26 and over the course of the Fall for Clone Wars, with images of all basic figures, vehicles, exclusives, and more. 2. As the Handbook focuses on Clone Wars, and does not have actual anticipated on-shelf dates breakdowns of figures by wave, we have crafted a second companion spreasheet titled the "Hasbro Star Wars Fall 2008 Release Guide". This Excel spreadsheet details Clone War and Legacy Collection information, along with availability dates and wave breakdowns, so all collectors will know what to focus on when. Available 7/16 for download at starwars.hasbro.com!

IJC Review:  Mickey Mouse “Indiana Jones”

Star Tours has been a major longtime component of the Magic Kingdom’s affiliation with Star Wars, so it was only a matter of time before Indiana Jones was brought into the mix.  However, rather than creating a whole new action figure line like Star Tours, Disney chose to commemorate Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by releasing a PVC figurine of Mickey Mouse dressed in the costume of Indiana Jones.  While a quick first glance may suggest nothing more than a simple trinket meant to cash in on the timely popularity of the Indy franchise, there are several surprises lurking inside the blister card.

IJC Joins the Hasbro Q&A Sessions!

IJC now joins the Bi-Monthly Hasbro Question and Answer Sessions, check out our first three questions below and if you have any burning Indy questions for the fine folks at Hasbro, be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us and let us know!

IndianaJonesCollectors: I know they originally said that the Last Crusade figures were due out in July, but now everywhere I look, it sounds like they'll be out sometime in June? When should we start to look for these on the pegs?

Hasbro: The exact date a wave arrives at retail is always tricky to pin down since when we forecast dates we allow time for shipment and dissemination from retail distribution centers in sizeable quantities. It's always possible that some retailers can get a small quantity out faster, and figures could start showing up by the end of the months. Based on our latest schedules they are on the water and due to land any day now in the States, and will find their way to retail in the next few weeks.

IJC: Well now that I have all of the 12" figures that are out, I'm anxiously awaiting the new batch!!! I know that Dovchenko will be released from KOTCS, but can you fill us in on what is next in the 12" line? I would love to see:

RAIDERS: Sallah, Belloq, Katanga, German mechanic

TEMPLE: Mola Ram, Chether Lal, Indy in tux, Thugee, Lao Che

CRUSADE: Henry Jones, Sr., Indy, Walter Donovan, Grail Knight

KOTCS: Irina Spalko, Mac, Ugha Warrior, Crystal Skeleton

Any scoop? Preview Pics? Updates?

H: More goodness awaits for those who are patient! At least four of those are planned by ealy 2009, so hang in there. More details will be revealed at Comic-Con International.

IJC: We've heard talks of Indiana Jones Battle Packs. Which movies and or scenes will be represented in the battle packs? Will they be just standard figure battle packs, or can we expect other accessories like we see with some of the Star Wars Battle Packs. Opening of the Ark Battle Pack with Ark ghosts would be way cool!

H:  Details on the initial Battle Packs, which will be retailer exclusives, will be revealed at Comic-Con International. Like our first Star Wars Battle Packs, the IJ Battle Packs will start out with primarily existing character decos, delivered in a combination that makes a complete play pattern for kids and kids alike.

Thanks Hasbro! Be sure to post in our forums or e-mail us questions for the next session!

San Diego Comic Con LEGO Indy Exclusive!

Just got this in an email; this year's San Diego Comic Con exclusive is not going to be Star Wars as I had hoped, but will be Indiana Jones-themed instead. Here's a teaser image:

Indiana Jones Collectors Review:  Rene Belloq (Ark Ceremony)

The best villains are those who are the dark reflection of the hero.  These villains have moral codes and motivations that perfectly clash with those of the hero.  These are the villains that make for great storytelling, and the pantheon of cinema is filled with them.  Sherlock Holmes had Professor Moriarity.  Batman had the Joker.

Indiana Jones had Rene Belloq.

Indy’s equal in many ways, Belloq was the dark reflection of Dr. Henry Jones Jr.  Where Indiana sought knowledge, Belloq sought fortune.  Where Indiana valued truth and fairness, Belloq dealt in lies and deceit.  Where Indiana placed faith in science and empirical data, Belloq placed faith in the spiritual and supernatural.  It is that faith which drove Belloq to find the lost Ark of the Covenant.  Dressed in ceremonial garb, he opened the Ark and found a power beyond his expectations—and his control.

For their first rendition of Rene Belloq, Hasbro chose the final appearance of the mercenary archaeologist, and like the Ark, it turns out to be much more than expected.

Indiana Jones Collectors Review:  Indiana Jones with the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull brings us an Indy that is as sly and daring as before.  Age hasn’t slowed him down, and the forces of evil are just as strong even if the faces have changed.  Leaving behind an era of Christian relics, Indiana now finds himself in search of a very alien-esque artifact that can harness the psychic powers of the mind.  Of course, he must find it before the Soviets do.

With such a compelling story, it would be foolish to exclude a figure of Indy carrying this particular prize.  Fortunately, Hasbro gave us such a figure in its inaugural Crystal Skull wave.  With the Crystal Skull of Akator in hand, this figure shows us just how much and how little the years have changed Indiana Jones.

Indiana Jones Collectors Review:  Irina Spalko (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull)

Nearly as memorable as Indiana Jones and his adventures are the formidable villains he has confronted during his cinematic quests.  First, there was Indy’s professional rival and greatest adversary, the amoral curator-turned-mercenary Rene Belloq.  Then came the sadistic Thuggee priest Mola Ram.  Finally, there was the power-hungry Nazi sympathizer Walter Donovan.  All were unique and presented Indy with different physical and psychological challenges.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is no different.  In addition to bringing Indy out of the pre-war years and into the early years of the Cold War, this adventure pits our hero against Soviet agent Irina Spalko, a villainess with her own brand of evil and a fixation on the potential for psychic powers as a Soviet weapon.  By all accounts, Spalko is poised to be one of Indy’s greatest challenges yet.

Indiana Jones Collectors Review:  Indiana Jones with Temple Idol (Raiders of the Lost Ark)

In addition to the theatrical and television debuts of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the massive multimedia event Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, this Memorial Day will see the long-awaited return of cinema’s most iconic adventurer.  Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull brings Junior into the Cold War years, older but still as daring as ever.  Of course, as with any fantasy summer blockbuster, the merchandising machine always thunders full speed ahead in the weeks leading up to the film’s release, setting the stage for record-breaking profits.

For Indiana Jones, the largest and most anticipated element of the Lucasfilm marketing goliath is the premiere of Hasbro’s saga-encompassing toy line.  Already dominating the Star Wars toy universe, the natural expectation is that Hasbro will harness that experience and bring all of their strengths (and few of their weaknesses) to this new realm.  The question is, though, can they do it?

Preview Night aside, this review will be the first of many to analyze Hasbro’s offerings.  Like our hero, we will embark on our own quest to discover the answer to that question.

Indiana Jones Collectors Review:  “Taters of the Lost Ark” (Mr. Potato Head)

On May 1, 2008, the Indiana Jones marketing machine kicks into high gear, and the merchandising bonanza will begin.  Naturally, Indiana Jones Collectors will be here to bring you a variety of in-depth reviews.  Those of you who are also regular visitors to our companion site Yodasnews.com already know what to expect.

In honor of the official release of all things Indiana Jones, we are pleased to bring you a special “Preview Night” product review—the Indiana Jones Mr. Potato Head, affectionately dubbed Taters of the Lost Ark”!!

Shia Hosts LEGO Indy Mini-Movie May 10th!

(Source: TheRaider.net by Mitchell Hallock)

The folks at LEGO are sending LEGO Indy off on the high road to adventure in style with a premiere of a full-length CGI "mini-movie" featuring LEGO Indy, and hosted by Kingdom of the Crystal Skull star, Shia LaBeouf. Similar to the Star Wars LEGO mini-movie Revenge of the Brick this will be a great way to get fans ready for the new LEGO game that will be coming out on all systems in June.

While fans have seen clips of the action in the game so far from the game trailer that recreates the famous opening of Indiana Jones trekking through the Peruvian jungle in 1936 looking for the danger -filled temple that holds the golden fertility idol, this will be much longer and in four parts.

Raiders of the Lost Brick, is slated to premiere as a commercial event within the Cartoon Network Toonami(TM) programming block Saturday, May 10 at 9 p.m. The event, running over four minutes in length, will be hosted by Shia LaBeouf, star of the much-anticipated feature film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Leading up to the mini-movie premiere, Cartoon Network will promote the event through custom on-air spots and online elements at CartoonNetwork.com. Visitors to the Website will get a sneak peek of the on-air event by checking out part one of the mini movie, debuting on the site the week of April 28.

The following week, part two will be posted to view, with the full-length mini movie available online following the on-air premiere. In addition, Cartoon Network.com will feature a custom gaming opportunity that features three levels of a LEGO Indiana Jones online game building in difficulty, one level per week, starting April 28.

For more information, or to view the first two blocks of the film before the full-length premiere, visit CartoonNetwork.com/LEGOIndianaJones starting April 28. To see LEGO Indiana Jones products, including the four new sets available starting May 1, get fun downloads like wallpaper and screen savers or play a game, visit www.indianajones.LEGO.com

New IndyShop Exclusives Launch Today!

(Posted at StarWars.com)

IndianaJonesShop launches three new exclusive items today, including an all-new Indiana Jones Short Round Character Key, a set of vintage Temple of Doom lobby cards, and a very rare '80s THX Indiana Jones poster! See the item descriptions below for details --

Short Round Character Key
Hot on the heels of the Indiana Jones debut Character Key from Acme Archives comes Indy's Temple of Doom sidekick, Short Round!

An IndianaJonesShop exclusive, the Short Round Character Key is limited to just 750 pieces worldwide, making it more rare than many editions released in the popular Star Wars series of Character Keys (even the debut Indy key had an edition size of 1,000!).

Short Round has been reproduced on a clear acetate cel which "floats" above the illustrated backing board displaying the character's unique color set, stats, and various sketches. The matte measures 6" x 8" and the artwork is approximately 4" x 6". The edition number is printed on a chrome metal plaque and an IndianaJonesShop-branded certificate of authenticity is included.

Temple of Doom 1984 Lobby Cards
While movie posters have traditionally been the center of attention for collectors interested in celebrating their favorite movies through displayable artwork, posters were actually only part of the ad campaign experienced by theater-goers at the lobby level. Until several years ago, posters were often accompanied by a set of eight color photographs, or lobby cards, to help familiarize potential filmgoers with actual scenes from the movie. This rare set of eight lobby cards from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom would have served that very purpose back in 1984.

Recently discovered among a stash of other vintage advertising materials housed in Lucasfilm's archives, this set of eight 11x14 inch lobby cards from the second Indy adventure depict several great scenes from the movie, and are still housed in the original plastic sleeves issued from the printer. Complete lobby card sets are traditionally much harder to find than the original release poster accompanying a movie's release, so don't miss this great opportunity to pick up a rare and limited collectible!

Vintage Indiana Jones THX One-Sheet
Here's one we'll bet you haven't seen. Remember THX? Well of course you do -- the signature "deep-note" sound effect is still heard before many of our favorite movies these days, and has become a traditional part of the theater-going experience.

Back when it was still called "Lucasfilm Ltd. THX Sound System" in the mid-'80s, select theaters which housed the state-of-the-art THX hardware got to display this rare one-sheet in their lobbies, touting the many advantages of the THX theatrical experience. What makes this particular one-sheet extra special, though, is the inclusion of 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in the poster's artwork -- that's Indy and Willie Scott making their getaway in the film's Shanghai sequence on screen, which is repeated in the film frames reproduced at upper right (we're guessing this poster either accompanied the theatrical run of Temple of Doom in 1984 or was released shortly thereafter).

This rare theatrical one-sheet, which measures 27x39.5 inches and comes rolled, represents a piece of cinematic history which would look fantastic framed up in your home theater. And the Indiana Jones content makes this specific THX poster particularly desirable.

These are available in EXTREMELY limited quantities and aren't expected to last long, so make sure to pick up yours today!

Head on over the all-new IndianaJonesShop for these and more great Indiana Jones collectibles!

We just got word from Gentle Giant  that there will be a Exclusive Variant of the Indy Bust for Gen Con Australia. First posted at Mousedroid.com and on GentleGiantCollectors.com later that day was this Mini Bust:

This version, with the Idol in the hand of Indy, will be exclusive to the Con. The general release version will not include the idol, but will sport the new look of this bust (still pending final approval). A portion will be held back for members of the Gentle Giant PGM Club for purchase after the show. GG also said they intend to make as many as possible, if not all show exclusives available to the PGM, so good news on all fronts!

A big thanks to GG for the info!

Indy Gets a New Look!

You can toss the old pictures of the Indy Mini Bust out the window! Our friends at Mousedroid.com posted the below picture as part of the Australian Toy Fair where Indy sports a new sculpt and idol in hand! With plenty of buzz on the boards, we went direct to Gentle Giant Ltd to ask what was going on. Was it a variant or show exclusive or was this the new updated Indy?

GG has confirmed to GentleGiantCollectors.com that this is the most recent version, but not the final version. They are still in the approval stage with Lucas but I think everyone will agree this is a great improvement from what was seen in New York and a welcome improvement.  Nice Job GG!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Theatrical Poster

Just added at ShopStarWars.com:

The Indiana Jones adventures continue this summer, and we've got the poster to prove it!  An Indy poster wouldn't be an Indy poster without the skilled hand of artist Drew Struzan, who has composed artwork for each installment of the Indiana Jones series. Indy looms large in the composition, as he should be, surrounded by some old friends and some new enemies (we'll let you decide which camp the snake falls into). This is one poster you'll definitely want to snatch in time for the movie's release in May!

A special note to collectors -- This poster is an authentic, double-sided theatrical one-sheet that is identical to those that will be displayed in the movie theater light boxes. In the past, StarWarsShop has offered theatrical one-sheets to collectors before the film's rating is printed on the poster, which any collector will tell you these days is the more common variation. We're offering the rarer rated version to our shoppers, and will ship them as soon as they're available in April, well ahead of the film's release.

Note: The image accompanying this listing showcases the non-rated version -- you'll be receiving the rarer rated version.

'Indiana Jones' trailer a hit, Everywhere!

Posted at CNN.com:

Times sure have changed in the 19 years since Harrison Ford last donned the signature fedora of thrill-seeking archaeologist Indiana Jones. The viral spread of the trailer for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is proof of that.

After premiering February 14 on "Good Morning America," Lucasfilm and Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Pictures sent the trailer to the Web, plus movie theaters and TV stations around the world. Paramount estimates the trailer was seen more than 200 million times worldwide in the first week alone.
